How far ahead should I book?
For weddings, six to twelve months is ideal. For parties and corporate events, four to eight weeks is usually fine. Your date stays open until the deposit is paid, so earlier is safer.
Do you travel to our venue?
Yes. Travel is free anywhere from Brisbane to Gympie, then $1 per kilometre beyond that. It's a free-travel zone, not a boundary, so further afield is fine too.
How do we choose the music?
However suits you. You get your own planning portal, a system built by DJs for DJs that I use for every booking. Add songs there, text me a Shazam screenshot, email a link or send a photo of a list on a napkin. Then we shape it together, in person or on Zoom.
Do you take song requests?
Yes. For weddings, if either of you asks for a song, it's next. Requests from parents and the bridal party come within a few songs. Guest requests work however you choose: none, through someone you trust, my judgement on the night, or fully open with a QR code and their name on the screen.
What equipment do you use?
QSC KC12 speakers, a Pioneer XDJ-AZ, wireless microphones, lighting, lasers, haze and projection, depending on your package. Everything is set up and tested before your guests arrive.
Do you MC?
Yes. MC duties are part of every wedding and available for any other night.
Are you insured?
Yes. Ferngully Productions carries public liability insurance and I can send the certificate to your venue. I'm also a member of the Disc Jockey Association of Australia.
How does payment work?
A 50% deposit locks in your date. The balance is due two weeks before the night.
What if I need to change the date?
Let me know as early as you can and we'll work through it together. The cancellation terms are in your booking agreement.
